So a couple years ago I was at my friends house checking out his collection of memorabilia and he had 3 clone trooper helmets sitting on a shelf. He is really into Star Wars so I asked him if he wanted a stand for each of them. The work took about 3 total days to complete but they came out really nice. After downloading the Imperial Cog from google images, I planned out the job on some 3/4″ MDF. I realised that I couldn’t do this with the tools I had so I contracted out the use of a CNC router which worked perfectly. I had the design recessed about 1/8″ and a center pilot drilled out. When I got them back from the CNC owner, I drilled 4 pilot holes in the bottom, at each corner so I could attach some rubber feet.
